Hi, I’m Krystal drinkwater.

Hi! I'm Krystal, though some call me Dom or Domino. I answer to both, you get to pick. I'm originally from the Driftless region of the Upper Midwest, but I did much of my training at Traditions School of Herbal Studies in South St. Petersburg, Florida. I've studied and practiced in both Western and Eastern herbal traditions, with a little bit of everything in between.

My Approach:
BIOREGIONAL HERBALISM

I'm a big fan of bioregional herbalism, so I try to work with plants common to my clients' area of residence. Usually, the medicine we need the most is (sometimes literally) right outside our front door. I'm also a big fan of (safely and responsibly!) foraging plants and mushrooms, because herbs can get expensive. I take my client's constitution and cultural background into consideration when deciding which herbs are appropriate.

The goal is always to get you feeling better and becoming as independent as you wish to be when it comes to your health.

My Book

In 2025, I published Herbs for Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome & Joint Hypermobility Disorders. As an herbalist who focuses on supporting people with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and joint hypermobility conditions, my work is community-oriented, aimed specifically at people dealing with chronic pain, connective tissue issues, and complex conditions that are often underrepresented in conventional herbal literature.

The book itself suggests a practical, experience-based approach, drawing from personal experience with the condition, clinical practice, or both, rather than purely academic research. Herbalism has a small but growing presence in chronic illness communities and has helped to share the ways in which herbs can be helpful for conditions like EDS that often require individualized, holistic care.
